Congratulations to the 256 Colville High School students who achieved either Honor Roll or High Honor Roll for Semester One for the 2023-2024 school year! Honor Roll is achieved by earning a GPA of 3.0 to 3.499 and High Honor Roll is achieved by earning a 3.5 to a 4.0 GPA for the semester. Way to go Hawks, keep up the good work!


Twenty-two CHS Knowledge Bowl Team members traveled to Lewis and Clark High School on Monday, February 5th. They won or took second in many of their rounds of competition. The team stopped at the the Looff Carousel in Riverfront Park before the meet. What a fun and successful day for these students!

Nine CHS art students entered this year's annual ESD 101 Art Show for two dimensional and three dimensional art. Successful contestants will move on to the state art competition at OSPI. Colville High School had four students compete in the regional SkillsUSA welding competition. Our students placed 7th, 10th, 12th, and 17th. It was a great experience and everyone worked hard and had fun competing. Way to go hawks!

The Colville High School Key Club will be hosting a Vitalant blood drive on February 14th. Vitalant brings their fully equipped mobile donation center bus to CHS for the event. The CHS food drive class competition last week was a gigantic success! CHS students donated a total of 3,081 pounds of food as well as $300 dollars in cash. Mrs. Flugel's 3rd period class contributed the most to the drive and won a reward. Way to go Hawks!


Fish Hatchery program update: classes successfully shipped out around 13,000 triploid rainbow trout to WDFW and they are currently getting their incubation room ready for the 50,000 trout eggs they will receive after winter break. Mrs Mills is taking two senior students over break to the Spokane Fish Hatchery to help spawn. A few hatchery students are also helping Mrs. Thompson's 5th grade class get their fish tank set up in their classroom this week so they can get some eggs from the hatchery class after the break as well.



CHS had 23 Knowledge Bowl students compete at Lewis and Clark High School December 4th. Currently, there are two Varsity and two JV teams competing in the Inland Empire Region, which consists of 28 Varsity and 31 JV teams. Our teams have been steadily improving and rising in the ranks in the region. Keep up the good work Hawks!

There is no school for the Colville School District students for Thanksgiving Break on November 22, 23, and 24. Classes will resume on November 27. We hope everyone enjoys a safe holiday!

Volunteers from the Colville DNR visited CHS today and taught Forestry students how to deploy a fire shelter. Fire shelters are used by wildland firefighters as a last resort for survival when they are trapped by flames with no way out. We are thankful to those who volunteer their time for our students!


Each academic quarter, Colville High School rewards students who received all B's or better on their quarter report card with a special celebration we call the "B or Better Bash". This year's bash for the first quarter was "B or Better Bingo". 140 students were invited to the bash. They gathered in the gym, enjoyed music, snacks, played bingo, and won prizes! Great work Hawks!
