Students and staff had the opportunity to explore the incredible work being done in our Career and Technical Education (CTE) classes during today's CTE Gallery Walk organized by Mr. Purvis. This event highlighted a diverse range of hands-on learning experiences, giving students a firsthand look at the skills and creativity fostered in these programs.
Participating classes included Art, 3D Modeling, Welding, Carpentry, FFA, Foods, Fish Hatchery, Electronics, Video Production, and the Providence/CHS Certified Nursing Assistant Program. Students proudly displayed their projects and engaged with visitors, explaining the process behind their work and sharing their experiences in these hands-on courses. A particular highlight was the CNA students, who actively demonstrated their skills by taking visitors’ vitals, including blood pressure, giving attendees a glimpse into the practical, real-world applications of their training.
The timing of the event was ideal, as course registration for next year will begin in just a few weeks. By seeing the types of projects and opportunities available, students gained valuable insight into potential classes they may want to explore. The CTE Gallery Walk not only celebrated student achievement but also encouraged others to consider the wide range of career-focused learning opportunities our school has to offer.
A big thank you to all the students and CTE staff who made this event a success!
