Colville High School seniors recently had the opportunity to participate in mock interviews as part of their Consumer Education class, a Washington state graduation requirement. This valuable experience helps students prepare for the workforce by simulating real-world interview scenarios with local businesses.
Leading up to the event, students dedicated time to creating polished cover letters, resumes, and job applications. These materials were submitted to participating businesses for review, ensuring students received constructive feedback on their presentation and professional skills.
The interviews provided students with invaluable insights into the hiring process and practical experience answering common interview questions. Many students left with renewed confidence in their abilities and a clearer understanding of what employers seek in potential candidates. Impressively, some students even received job offers and networking opportunities as a result of their participation.
The commitment of local businesses to support Colville High School’s students is a testament to the strength of our community. This collaborative effort not only prepares students for their future careers but also fosters connections between the school and local industries.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to Vaagen Brothers Lumber, Colmac Coil, Delta Dental, Home Suite Home Furniture, Remax Real Estate, Boise Cascade, Colville School District, Colville Toyota, All Seasons Landscaping, and Norstar Heating and Cooling for their dedication and support. Your contributions make a meaningful impact on the future success of our students.
Congratulations to all the seniors who participated and represented Colville High School with professionalism and pride. Experiences like these pave the way for successful futures and demonstrate the dedication of both students and community partners!
